The name itself speaks volumes about this evergreen Salad loved by most of us. It is primarily made up of shredded Cabbage and Carrots with Mayonnaise and keeps well for a few days in the refrigerator and is best enjoyed chilled. In this particular version, i have also used Purple Cabbage and Carrot. It is mostly enjoyed with any of the fried Chicken dishes, the Barbeques, the Burgers and the Kebabs. I love to have this practically with any dish whatsoever. It has such a unique crunchy texture that is so very awesome. This creamy Salad can be made with the ingredients that you have in your pantry and are readily available.
That's the beauty of this dish.
I have also added fresh Cream or Malai to this Salad giving it a more creamier texture as well as a lovely flavour. However it's optional. You can skip it by all means. For my folks, I always do this and they enjoy it thoroughly.
And every Ramadan, I serve it alongside Pakoras or Fritters at Iftaar meal. It's such an absolute delight.
Enjoy No Cooking with Zeen!
