Garlic Chilli Sardines Rice Bowl

You can create a variety of delicious and nutritious meals with just 1 small can of Sardines. I like rice bowls as I almost always have Cooked Rice. This is another very quick and easy recipe. Today I used Sardines in Olive Oil. I hate to let Oil in the can go into the drain. I used the Oil as well. If you use Sardines in Springwater, just add some Olive Oil.

Steps
- 1
Empty the can of Sardines into a small frying pan, add Garlic, Chilli, Sake (OR Mirin) and Soy Sauce. *Note: If you use Sardines in Springwater, drain it, and add 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2
Heat over medium high heat, and cook for a few minutes.
- 3
Half fill a bowl with warm Cooked Rice and cover it with the sardine mixture. Place Nori, Spring Onion and Toasted Sesame Seeds on top, add Shichimi (Japanese Chilli Spice Mix) OR Ground Chilli for extra heat if you like, and enjoy.
