Soak chickpeas overnight.

Next day,boil chickpeas till tender.

When chickpeas are tender and water is almost evaporated,add in 2 glasses of more water.

Cook covered till chickpeas reaches the mashy consistency.

Add in tamarind and let it cook on low flame.

Chop the onions.

Dry roast all the spices along with salt.

Coarsely crush the masala.

When moisture is almost evaporated and chickpeas are dry.

Add in spices and mix well.

Remove from stove.

Mix in onions.

Serve straight away.
