Passion Fruit is refreshingly tart when it is fresh and becomes sweeter as it ripens. The flavours of this Fruit can be compared to the likes of those of Citrus one's mainly Kiwi, Melons and Pineapple. It's a native of Brazil and in India, it's cultivated in Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland.
These are round or oval and comes in colours like Yellow, Red and Purple. Though Purple one's are available throughout the Year, others mainly are available in May to June and from September till October.
Rich in Vitamin C, these help the body fight against the free radicals. Boosts immune system by helping the body absorb more Iron from plant based food.
This unique Fruit also helps in keeping many infections at bay. Thus all in all, a super cool Fruit that's a must have Seasonal special.

Steps

Wash and pat dry all the fruits at first. Cut them open from the centre. After you cut them open, you will find the fleshy juicy part inside. This is what we use for the storage.

Remove all the fleshy part into a freezer safe container. Cover and freeze for Months together. It will not go bad at all. It is absolutely handy and very useful.

This passion fruit pulp can be used as marinades, toppings on smoothies and overnight oats, on ice-creams, on fruit salads, in juices, iced tesp, mojito and mocktails etc. There are innumerable options. Enjoy!
