Wash and soak the moong dal overnight.. next day drain the water and tie the moong dal in a muslin cloth.. keep it out for 24 hours, end of the time you will see the sprouts.. if you making the idly use right away.. else if can be refrigerated..

Grind sprouted moong dal make a smooth paste..

In a bowl take sprouts paste, curd, rava, salt.. mix them well.. add soda mix them properly.. cover and keep aside for 15 minutes...

Grease the idly mould and put the batter...

Then put the idly mould in the steamer filled with water and cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes...

Remove the idlis from the mould and serve it with any chutney of your choice..

You can make dosa instantly.. no need to ferment the batter.. heat dosa pan and pour a ladle of the batter.. spread into a circle shape.. cover and cook till the surface cooks and under side turns brown and crispy.. add ghee...
