Soak chickpeas over night or, 6-8 hours.

Drain soaked chickpeas and put into a grinding jar. Add garlic, coriander leaves, green chilli, red chilli,crushed coriander seeds,onion, crushed black pepper, cumin powder and salt. Grind coarsely, do not add water.

Take out in a bowl. Add bread crumbs, all porpuse flour and lemon juice. Mix with hand.

Add baking soda. Mix well.

Grease hands with a few drops of oil and make lemon sized balls of the mixture.

Heat oil in a kadahi. Fry chickpea balls on low-medium heat till golden.

When a nice golden colour appears, take out the falafels. Serve with hammus or sauce.
