Ingredients

  1. Sauce
  2. 8 tablespoonswater (about 120 ml)
  3. 8 tablespoonssoy sauce (about 120 ml)
  4. 6 tablespoonssugar (about 75 grams)
  5. 6 tablespoonsmirin (about 90 ml)
  6. 4 tablespoonssake (about 60 ml)
  7. 4 tablespoonsoyster sauce (about 60 ml)

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all the sauce ingredients to a pot and heat until just before boiling, then remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Once the sauce has cooled, marinate skewered chicken thighs in it and let sit overnight.

  3. 3

    Place the skewers on an oven-safe dish and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes.

    Finish by browning the skewers in a skillet until nicely colored.
