Crispy Authentic Cheese Cookies

Perfect for cheese lovers or those who aren't fond of sweets.
The story behind this recipe
I often make these for my father, who enjoys drinking, and my cheese-loving partner. They are especially popular with men, so try making them for occasions like Valentine's Day (*^^*).

Steps
- 1
Cream the butter, which has been brought to room temperature.
- 2
Mix the creamed butter with granulated sugar, milk, almond flour, and salt.
- 3
Add Edam cheese powder, sifted flour, and cornstarch to the mixture, and mix by pressing the flour into the dough.
- 4
Form the dough into a single mass, roll it out into a square about 1/16 inch thick on a sheet of plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator.
- 5
After resting in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, cut the firm dough into 1/5 inch wide strips, then cut again into bite-sized pieces about 1 inch wide.
- 6
If the dough is difficult to handle, you can freeze it until it's very firm before cutting. In fact, this might be easier. Haha.
- 7
Since the cookies tend to spread, space them out on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 320°F until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
