Summer BBQ or Grilled Meat Side! Addictive Cucumber Salad

A popular dish both at home and outdoors! With its refreshing flavor, you'll finish it in no time. You might even be able to eat two cucumbers by yourself.
Recipe Background:
I tried this at a restaurant and loved the flavor. It reminded me of a recipe I made before, 'Yakiniku Restaurant-Style Microwave Bean Sprout Namul' (ID:19304647), so I adapted that recipe to create this one.
Steps
- 1
Rub the cucumbers with salt (not listed in ingredients), rinse with water, and use a vegetable peeler to peel 4–5 strips lengthwise.
- 2
Tip: Holding the peeler at about a 45-degree angle to the cucumber makes it easier to peel evenly.
- 3
Slice the cucumbers into rounds about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick.
- 4
In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the water, chicken bouillon, and salt. Microwave at 600W for about 30 seconds, then stir in the sesame oil.
- 5
Place the sliced cucumbers and marinade into a zip-top bag. Massage well from the outside, squeeze out the air, and seal the bag.
- 6
Refrigerate for a while to let the flavors soak in. Serve on a plate and sprinkle with ground white sesame seeds if you like.
- 7
You can eat it after about 1 hour. The flavor will change depending on how long you marinate it, so adjust to your preference.
- 8
If you're in a hurry, slice the cucumbers thinner or take the bag out of the fridge occasionally to massage it. This helps the flavors soak in faster.
