This teriyaki chicken is quick and easy to make, perfect for busy mornings. The sauce uses simple, easy-to-remember ingredients, and of course, it's delicious!
About this recipe:
It's not something I can really call an invention (^_^;), but I make it often for everyday bento lunches. I aim to make a filling and satisfying main dish.

Steps

1

Put the potato starch in a plastic bag, add the chicken cut into 1-inch pieces, and shake to coat evenly. Inflating the bag and shaking makes it easier to coat the chicken.
2

Heat a skillet and add the vegetable oil. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook with a lid on for about 2–3 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
3

Once both sides are browned, blot any excess oil with a paper towel, reduce the heat to low, and add the sauce mixture.
4

Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken with a glossy finish.
5

Here's my son's bento lunch from that day!
