One of my favorite ten-don restaurants closed. In my quest for a similar ten-don sauce, I tried a lot of different varieties and this is to my liking.Reduce the sauce until you have almost half the original amount. This will make a thick, sweet sauce. You won't need all of it, so drizzle some over rice and store the rest. Recipe by Shijimi24. cookpad.japan -
Glazed Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl for your Obento Glazed Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl for your Obento
With just chicken and nori, you can make a decent rice bowl for lunch. It's one of our family's standard recipes.Since the sauce will be used when serving, wipe excess oil from the frying pan after sautéing the chicken. When simmering, keep your eye on the pan, since it scalds easily! This recipe is the standard version; you could also garnish the chicken with roughly chopped Japanese leek, green peppers, shishito peppers, etc. Recipe by Nekoyanagi shouten cookpad.japan -
Kimchi and Egg Rice Bowl (and Oyako-don with Tinned Yakitori Chicken) Kimchi and Egg Rice Bowl (and Oyako-don with Tinned Yakitori Chicken)
I saw a similar dish on the menu of a family restaurant about 10 years ago, but I couldn't have it because of its strong smell.I was wondering if I could use up the leftover kimchi and I remembered this dish!I also could use up the leftover tins of yakitori chicken as well.Kimchi has a strong flavour, so I season the dish lightly. I like to make this dish a little sweeter. Adjust the seasoning depending on the kimchi.I prefer using tinned yakitori with sauce, not with salt. This is a personal preference. Chicken Rice Bowl with Crispy Chicken Thigh Chicken Rice Bowl with Crispy Chicken Thigh
If I'm cooking the chicken, I want to make it crispy!I also wanted to flavour it with the sauce which is easy to eat, so I poured on sweet and salty sauce at the end.The sweet and salty sauce goes well with rice, and tastes amazing! It's basically the same as teriyaki chicken, but I poured on the sauce at the end to keep the crispiness of the skin. That's the key. When the sauce is done, it's not that thick yet, but by the time you'll be serving the chicken, it'll thicken up deliciously. Recipe by Yusase mama cookpad.japan
