☆Not the Prettiest, but Tastes Great: Himi Udon Stir-Fry☆

A stir-fried udon dish made with Himi udon noodles. It turned out delicious with beef. Recipe background: I wanted to use up some sliced beef. I thought about what would go well with it, then remembered I had some Himi udon noodles I’d received as a gift, so I decided to try making this.

A stir-fried udon dish made with Himi udon noodles. It turned out delicious with beef. Recipe background: I wanted to use up some sliced beef. I thought about what would go well with it, then remembered I had some Himi udon noodles I’d received as a gift, so I decided to try making this.
Steps
- 1
Cook the Himi udon noodles according to the package instructions. Heat oil in a skillet, then sauté the beef and onion. When the beef is about 80% cooked, add the bean sprouts.
- 2
After about 1 minute of stir-frying, add the cooked and rinsed Himi udon noodles. Add the oyster sauce and salt and pepper, then toss lightly to combine.
- 3
Drizzle in the soy sauce and mix well. It’s ready to serve. If you like, top with radish sprouts or chopped green onions. I didn’t have any, so it didn’t look as nice!
- 4
It may not look great, but the noodles are chewy and delicious—maybe that’s thanks to the Himi udon.
- 5
I love using granulated oyster sauce!
