Pour some oil (not listed in ingredients) into a frying pan and heat over medium-high. Place the chicken skin-side down first. Once browned, flip and brown the other side.

Once the surface is crispy and browned, remove from heat and cut into pieces. It's okay if it's not fully cooked inside.

Add the teriyaki sauce ingredients to the same pan, mix, and add the cut chicken. Cover and simmer over medium heat until the sauce thickens.

If the heat is too low, it will take longer to thicken. Stir occasionally and keep the heat slightly higher to prevent burning. I simmer it quite a bit since I have cheese and mayo.

While the sauce thickens, prepare other toppings as desired. This time, I used sliced onions.

Stir occasionally and shake the pan until the sauce thickens. Once thickened, remove from heat and spread the sauce over the pizza crust.

Add your desired toppings and chicken, then top with mayonnaise and cheese as you like.

Bake in the oven according to the pizza crust instructions, and it's done.
