Super easy! Using tempura bits, you can enjoy a treat that tastes like fried manju. This recipe was created by my sister as a fun twist on Imagawa-yaki.

Heat the frozen Imagawa-yaki in the microwave at 500W for 40 seconds, then cut it in half horizontally.

Spread shio koji on the cut surfaces of the Imagawa-yaki and sprinkle with tempura bits.

Toast in a toaster oven for 2–3 minutes.

Grind the white and black sesame seeds slightly and sprinkle them on top.
