  1. 1frozen Imagawa-yaki
  2. 1 teaspoonshio koji
  3. 1 1/2 tablespoonstempura bits (agedama or tenkasu)
  4. 2 pincheswhite sesame seeds
  5. 2 pinchesblack sesame seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the frozen Imagawa-yaki in the microwave at 500W for 40 seconds, then cut it in half horizontally.

    Spread shio koji on the cut surfaces of the Imagawa-yaki and sprinkle with tempura bits.

    Toast in a toaster oven for 2–3 minutes.

    Grind the white and black sesame seeds slightly and sprinkle them on top.
