Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 cupswhole milk (about 355 ml)
  2. 1 cupall-purpose flour (about 125 grams)
  3. 1 tablespoonbaking powder
  4. 1egg
  5. 1/2 cupsemolina (about 80 grams)
  6. 1 tablespoonsugar
  7. For the syrup:
  8. 1/2 cupwater (about 120 ml)
  9. 1 cupsugar (about 200 grams)

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. 2

    Pour the batter onto a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  3. 3

    Fill with nuts or clotted cream.

    Fry in plenty of oil until golden brown, then remove and pour the prepared syrup over the top while still hot.
