Ingredients

1 1/2 cupswhole milk (about 355 ml)
1 cupall-purpose flour (about 125 grams)
1 tablespoonbaking powder
1egg
1/2 cupsemolina (about 80 grams)
1 tablespoonsugar
For the syrup:
1/2 cupwater (about 120 ml)
1 cupsugar (about 200 grams)

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Pour the batter onto a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Fill with nuts or clotted cream.

Fry in plenty of oil until golden brown, then remove and pour the prepared syrup over the top while still hot.
