In Paryushan we always make this curry without onion and garlic and it really tastes superb.
Steps

Wash and soak whole moong overnight or for 4-5 hours.

In a pressure cooker and moong beans with plenty of water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

Now, heat oil in pan add asafoetida then add moong beans. Mix well.

Add all the spices mentioned above with salt and mix everything well.

At last add chopped tomato and lemon juice. Cover and cook it for 5 minutes.

Serve it with roti and rice.
