Ginger-Kissed Grapefruit Juice

I dedicate this juice to supporting breast cancer awareness! This drink is energizing and refreshing. You can make it as sweet as you like, and adjust the amount of sparkling water to your taste. Feel free to mix in other citrus fruits for an extra boost!

Steps
- 1
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, ginger, and water. I also added a few grapefruit peels. Simmer for 5 minutes, then transfer to a glass or leave it in the pan and place it in the freezer for a few minutes to cool.
- 2
Juice the grapefruits and the limes or lemon.
- 3
If you like, strain out the peels and ginger using a strainer. I didn't do this. You can use less sugar if you prefer, and taste as you go—add more if you want it sweeter, but I find it very sweet. Serve immediately in a chilled glass with ice. For a fun twist, add sparkling water to taste!

Enjoy!
