Caramel apple dessert

Ingredients

bakes in 30 to 35 minutes
  1. 15 oz.Caramel dip
  2. 1/3 cupchopped nuts
  3. Apple filling: 6 cups pared, sliced apples
  4. 1 cupsugar
  5. 3 teaspoonslemon juice
  6. 1/3 cupflour
  7. 2 tspgrated lemon rind, optional
  8. Cream topping ingredients: 8 oz cream cheese
  9. 1/3 cupsugar
  10. 1egg
  11. Crust ingredients; 3 cups flour
  12. 1 1/2 tsp.Salt
  13. 1/4 cupsugar
  14. 1/2 cupbutter
  15. 1/4 cupcooking oil
  16. 1egg
  17. 1/4 cupcold water

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the apple pie filling ingredients, apples, sugar, lemon juice, flour, lemon rind. Set aside

    Using cream cheese ingredients, cream the cheese well. Add egg, sugar to cream until fluffy and smooth. Set aside

    For the crust, sift together flour, salt and sugar. Cut the butter into the flour mixture until particles are fine. Blend the cooking oil with the unbeaten egg and water until smooth and creamy. Add to dry ingredients till mixture holds together. Press in a jelly roll pan

    Place apples in pastry lined pan. Drizzle caramel dip in strips over Apple. Spoon cream cheese topping between caramel sauce. Sprinkle with nuts

    Bake 375 for 30 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
