Peppermint Jelly

#ga24 #agar agar #mint I have quite a few varieties of mint (spear mint, pepper mint, chocolate mint and apple mint) with different flavors and aroma in our garden. I decided to use pepper mint for making the green jelly. It has incredible health benefits—relieves migraine, indigestion, bloating, anxiety, good for weight loss, confers immunity Ingredients

Steps
- 1
Make a checklist. Collect all the required ingredients and keep them within your reach
- 2
Wash the leaves. Blanch them. Place the leaves in boiling water for 30 seconds. Remove the leaves and transfer the leaves to a container with ice water; Chilling would keep the leaves green. Drain.
The blanched leaves are about 2 cups. - 3
Blend them with two cups of water for a couple of minutes.
Strain the blended leaves in water through a wire mesh basket. Add agave nectar to the strained liquid. Whisk to dissolve the nectar. - 4
Dissolve agar in a bowl in 1tbsp juice
Keep a sauce pan over over medium heat, add the green juice, add the dissolved agar mix, stir, bring it to boil, reduce the heat low stir 1-2 min. Cool to room temperature. Pour into any mold you feel like using-bowl, or a glass. I used a heart shaped mould and a wine glass. Refrigerate for a couple of hours to form the jelly. I did it overnight. You can top the ice cream with the jelly and enjoy
