Ingredients

50 Minutes
1 Kg
  • 4 TbspGhee
  • 1.5 kgcarrot
  • 300 gmsSugar
  • 2 ltrmilk
  • 1 TspCardamom powder
  • 1/2 TspNutmeg powder
  • 1/2 cupMix roasted dry fruit

Steps

50 Minutes
  1. 1

    Wash carrots well, trim the edges and peel off the skin. Grate it using a grater. To a pan heat 4 tablespoon ghee add prepared grated carrot.

    Saute for at least 3-5 mins or until it shrinks a bit and the color changes on medium to low flame.

    Add milk when the carrots become soft.

    Keep stirring this mixture continuously on medium to high flame.

    When the milk burns a little and gets a little thick, add sugar to it.

    Stirring continuously, add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and roasted dry fruits as the halwa becomes quite thick. Mix everything well.

    Spread some ghee in a plate and spread this prepared halwa on it.

    As the halwa cools down a bit, it can be cut into any desired shape.
