Ingredients

  • For onion tomato paste:
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 2onions (cut in a slices)
  • 2tomatoes (cut in a slices)
  • 5garlic cloves
  • 10cashew nuts
  • 1" piece ginger
  • Other ingredientes:
  • 1 cupgreen peas (boiled)
  • 1 cuppaneer cubes
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1bay leaf
  • 2green cardamom
  • 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspcumin powder
  • 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tbspkasuri methi
  • 1 tspgaram masala

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add onion, garlic, and ginger, and sauté for a couple of minutes. Then, add tomatoes and cashew nuts and sauté for a while. Close the lid and pressure cook for three whistles. Once the pressure releases and cools down, grind into a smooth paste. If needed, pass through a sieve.

    Now, heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf and green cardamom, and sauté for a few seconds, followed by dry spices (except garam masala). Sauté until spices turn aromatic. Then, add the prepared paste and cook on low flame until oil separates.

    Further, add approximately one cup of water and salt. Once it starts boiling, add green peas and paneer, and mix well.

    Turn the flame to low, cover, and let it simmer for 4-5 minutes. Then, add garam masala and kasuri methi, and cook for 1-3 minutes. Finally, turn off the heat.

    Serve hot with your choice of flatbread and condiments.
