The rich sweet and savory sauce, juicy meat, and the texture of bell peppers go perfectly with white rice.

Finely chop the onion, place it in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Remove the wrap and let it cool.

In a separate container, mix all the ★ ingredients together.

Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.

Once the onion has cooled, add all the ◇ ingredients and mix well with a spatula until sticky.

Put the cake flour and the bell peppers from step 3 into a plastic bag, inflate it with air, and shake to coat the peppers.

Stuff the bell peppers with the meat mixture from step 4. It's okay to mound it on top.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, place the peppers meat-side down, and cook until browned.

Flip them over, and once both sides are browned, add the water for steaming, cover with a lid, and steam-cook.

Remove the lid, add the sauce from step 2, and simmer until it thickens nicely. Garnish with parsley for a better presentation.
