Ingredients

4 servings
  • 2large Sweet potatoes (I used orange sweet potatoes)
    Sweet Potato Basundi/ Rabdi
  • 2 cupswhole milk or your choice of milk
    Gobindobhog Rice Kheer
  • 1/2 cuphot water
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cupmilk powder
  • 1/2 teaspooncardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoonsghee
  • 1/4 cupmixed dry nuts, roasted and chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    First, wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Slice in thin round slices.

    Then heat ghee in a deep based pan. Add the sweet potato slices and stir fry for 5 minutes. Then add 1/2 cup water and steam for 10 minutes.

    Then add the milk powder, milk and mix well. Cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes till soft. Then add cardamom powder coconut sugar and mix well.

    Then switch off the flame. Add mixed, roasted and chopped dry nuts. Serve immediately or chill and serve. Enjoy.
