Spicy Curd Chicken

Chicken is one of the most lovable dish amoung Non Vegetarians all around the world. Being easy to cook and highly nutritious, enjoyed mostly during winters. When cooked with curd and dry spices it becomes the new creative way of making chicken and made the recipe complete.
Being North Indian stayed in Punjab since long and all chicken lovers in family how to ignore making this wintery delight. We used to have Curd Chicken at Pal Dhabha. Its a famous food chain located in Chandigarh. We loved it and it inspired us to give it a try at home and luckily it went well.
Can be enjoyed with Chapatis Naan or Rice.

Take out whole chicken peices in a plate and wash under running water thoroughly.

Keep it aside and assemble all ingredients.Curd used in the recipe is from Godrej Jersey Curd.

Put Kadhai on a gas stove and heat oil. Add roughly Chopped Onions and saute until golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste. Saute for few minutes and add rest of the spices. Mix them well. Stir for few minutes until the oil begins to separate. You can add just a little water at this step if required.

Add chicken to the spices. Mix it well. Cover it and cook on a low medium flame until the chicken gets easily pull away from its bones and it will become tender after some time. Stir in-between.

Add curd mix it well and cook for few minutes. The curd will completely mix in the chicken giving it a slight thick gravy and the oil begins to float on the surface.

Transfer it to a serving bowl. Garnish it with fresh chopped coriander leaves toped with a pinch of curd all around making it complete.
