Since they're homemade, you can adjust the flavor to your liking. Steaming with napa cabbage makes a delicious side dish! Shumai is easier to make than gyoza and can be finished with a frying pan and a stainless steel steamer.
Steps

Roughly chop the napa cabbage.

Finely chop the onion and microwave it (600W for 2 minutes).

Finely chop the shiitake mushrooms.

In a bowl, combine the onion, mushrooms, ground pork, ginger, potato starch, chicken bouillon, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Knead well until sticky.

Boil water in a kettle.
Poke holes in a piece of parchment paper and set it in the steamer. Arrange the napa cabbage on top. - 6
Wrap the filling in the shumai wrappers.
※ Place the wrapper on your palm, put the filling in the center, then pinch with your thumb and index finger to shape. Lightly smooth the top and bottom with a spatula. - 7
Place the wrapped shumai on the steamer as you go. Once all are arranged, add water to the frying pan, cover, and steam for about 25 minutes.

Once cooked through, serve on a plate and enjoy!
