Use potatoes with very thin skin (like new potatoes). I used Zomba potatoes. Cut into chunks.

Heat up oil in a pressure cooker. Crackle mustard and then cumin. Add fenugreek seeds, asafoetida powder and half of the turmeric powder.

Add potatoes, remaining turmeric powder, chilli powder. Combine and then add water about ¼ cm above the level of potatoes. Bring it to a boil and then close the lid. Allow the whistle to blow 3-5 times. Let the cooker cool down completely.

Open the lid and boil a bit in order to adjust consistency.
