Wash, wipe and cut sponge gourd like brinjal.

In a mixing bowl add peanut powder, chopped onion, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, chilli powder, fennel seeds,coriander powder and salt.Mix together well.Stuff masala in sponge gourd pieces.

Heat oil in a pan add stuffed sponge gourd pieces.Cover with lid by adding water in it.

Cook for seven minutes until sponge gourd pieces gets tender and juicy.Add lemon juice.Serve with chapati or rice.
