Today we're making a delicious orange flan! It's very easy to prepare and the result is truly wonderful (Canaldulce).

Gather all the ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), top and bottom heat. Use a rectangular pan, about 10 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches (27 x 11 x 7 cm). In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water and cook until it turns into caramel.

Once the caramel is golden, remove from heat. Pour it into the pan, spreading it evenly over the bottom and sides. Let it cool completely.

In a blender, combine the eggs, sweetened condensed milk, cornstarch, and orange juice. Blend well. Strain the mixture over the caramel using a fine mesh strainer. Place the pan inside a larger baking dish to prepare a water bath.

Place in the oven. Bake until set.

Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and let cool completely at room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least six hours.

Unmold the flan.

Place on a decorative serving tray and garnish with maraschino cherries.
