In a pressure cooker, add ghee, once it's hot, ginger, cumin seeds and let it splutter well.. Add drumstick, green chilli, yellow moong dal, salt to taste, turmeric powder, a pinch of asafoetida, ghee and mix it well......

Add water, cover it with the lid and cook it for 2-3 whistles until cooked....Keep it aside to cool down at room temperature....

Transfer the mixture into a mixer grinder jar and grind it into a smooth paste.....Now, strain this mixture and place it on the heat to warm. Once it comes to a boil, proceed to the tempering.

In a small tempering pan (vaghariya), heat the ghee. Once the ghee is hot, let the cumin seeds splutter. Add the freshly crushed black pepper and chili flakes... pour the tempering over the soup.

Now, turn off the gas (heat), transfer the soup to a serving bowl, and serve it piping hot.
