Steps

Slice the apples into thin 2 mm slices.

Combine 200 ml water and 3 tbsp sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Add the apple slices and boil for 2–3 minutes, until soft and flexible.

Cut the puff pastry into strips about 3×30 cm.

Arrange the apple slices along one side of each strip so the tops slightly stick out, then roll into a rose.

Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 25–30 minutes, until golden.
