Savory Rolls with Hollandaise Drizzle
Perfect for Christmas morning.
Steps
- 1
Make your dough ahead of time. See my recipe "The BEST Cinnamon rolls"
- 2
In a pan, Sautee onion and garlic until garlic is translucent.
- 3
Add your ham and cook until the ham has browned a bit (if you're using crispy cooked bacon, add now and continue immediately to next step)
- 4
Add your bell pepper and seasoning and cook couple min until peppers are slightly softened
- 5
Mix in your eggs and cook until the egg is about 80% cooked (should still be kinda wet)
- 6
Add in 3/4 of the cheese (reserving 1/4 cup) and add your spinach. Mix and remove from heat to cool slightly
- 7
While the mixture is cooling, roll out your dough on a flat floured surface.
- 8
Spread your filling evenly over the dough, leaving about 1/2 inch from the edges.
- 9
Roll your dough into a log. Slice your rolls into even pieces and place into a lightly greased dish.
- 10
Cover your rolls and let them rise for about an hour in a warm place
- 11
Preheat oven to 350⁰F. Bake your rolls for 35-40 min. In the last 10min of baking, sprinkle the top with your remaining shredded cheese.
- 12
While your rolls are baking. Make your hollandaise sauce. Honestly, I just used knorr pkgd hollandaise sauce. If you have a homemade recipe, use that.
- 13
Once the rolls are baked, remove from oven and immediately drizzle 1/4 of the hollandaise on them.
- 14
Serve warm with extra hollandaise. You can also garnish with green onions or fresh parsley. Sooooo delicious
Tips
You can serve this with a large bowl of fruit salad for sharing. Warm, delicious and satiating.
