Light Meringue Treats

Place the egg whites and a pinch of salt in a clean bowl. Whip until they form a white foam.

Add the lemon juice, then gradually add the powdered sugar while continuing to whip. Keep beating until the meringue is firm, smooth, and glossy.

Transfer the mixture to a piping bag and pipe meringues onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle chopped peanuts on top before baking.

Bake in a preheated oven at 195°F (90°C) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, until the meringues are completely dry.

Once cooled, fill the meringues with jam, then coat them with chopped and toasted peanuts.
