Steps
- 1
Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder and let it sit for half an hour. On the other hand, grate 4 onions or make a paste of them. If you want, you can also slice them real thin.
- 2
In a pan add mustard oil and fry the fishes till golden brown. Once the fishes have been fried, keep them aside. In the same oil add one small darchini, 3 cloves, and 3 cardamom.
- 3
Once aromatic, add the onion paste and fry till golden brown. Then add the ginger garlic paste. Once the raw smell disappears, add the spices mentioned (except the garam masala powder).
- 4
Fry them well till oil starts separating. Now lower the flame and add curd. Mix them well and then add some water to make the gravy. Once the water mixes well, add the fish.
- 5
Increase the flame. Once it starts to boil, add salt according to taste and let it cook. Once the gravy reaches the desired consistency, turn off the flame. Sprinkle some garam masala powder on top and enjoy with steaming hot Basmati Rice.
