Steps

Grind soaked chana dal and urad dal with green chillies, ginger, and garlic to make a coarse paste.

Add red chilli powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the lentil paste. Mix well.

Knead rice flour with warm water to make a soft, smooth dough.

Take a small portion of dough, flatten it into a disc with your hands.

Place some lentil filling in the center, fold and seal the edges to form a half-moon shape.

Boil water in a steamer. Place the faraa in the steamer and steam for 10-12 minutes.

Remove and serve hot with chutney. You can also cut them into small pieces if you like.
Tips
For a softer dough, use warm water while kneading. Ensure the filling is not too watery to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.
