Nutella Pancake w/ Cinnamon

Inspired by the crepes you get in Amsterdam and Copenhagen. They make the crepes fresh on the spot and add Nutella like this. That can be really good, and tho not exactly the same level, this comes pretty darn close too.

Inspired by the crepes you get in Amsterdam and Copenhagen. They make the crepes fresh on the spot and add Nutella like this. That can be really good, and tho not exactly the same level, this comes pretty darn close too.
Steps
- 1
Heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- 2
Put aluminum foil on a baking tray.
- 3
Add the pancake to the baking tray inside of the aluminum foil.
- 4
Put the tray in the middle of the oven and let it be in there 3 minutes.
- 5
Look if it looks done, oven time might depend on the thickness, mix, brand etc. It is supposed to be softened, but not mushy and also not still hard. So if you try to move it and it has the shape of blob and is not possible to handle in any meaningful way, it is likely overdone so you should cut down on the cooking time for the next one.
- 6
Add Nutella with a teaspoon and smear it out over the pancake with a regular spoon.
- 7
Roll up the pancake neatly. It is still very hot for your fingers, especially if you get hot Nutella on them, so if you have barbecue skewers they are really good for rolling it neatly without touching it.
- 8
Transfer it to a plate.
- 9
Add cinnamon by sprinkling over from a good distance like above 10 cm to not get it too concentrated in one spot, any missing can be scooped up with a pancake bit anyway. Is eaten with a fork and an unsharp regular dinner knife and should be served at once, it does not store well like that and loses its greatness quickly if it does.
Tips
Make sure to not add too much Nutella as it simply does not get good. One thin layer covering the whole thing is more than enough.
If Nutella gathers in a spot or is added too thick it becomes too much of the good stuff which is off-putting. But also not so little the pancake starts to tear when smearing.
It's best to make 2-3 for one person as a dessert or snack and espec for dessert 2 pancakes like that with a scoop of ice cream can be good. Vanilla ice and banana are common pairings.
