Paav Bhaji with Malabar Porota
Paav bhaaji made bachelor style!
Steps
- 1
Chop the potatoes and carrot. Add a bit of turmeric powder and salt to the mix. Boil in water till it cooks.
- 2
Chop the onions and tomatoes.
- 3
Add oil, mustard and jeera in a pan and fry.
- 4
Add onions to fry. Fry till it becomes brownish in colour.
- 5
Add a tinge of turmeric powder, salt, chilly powder and tomatoes. Continue cooking for 5 minutes. (Alternately you can add garlic paste before adding the rest of the ingredients to the mix.)
- 6
Once cooked properly, add the potatoes and carrot. Add some water to make it into a curry.
- 7
Add garam masala in the end. Add a bit more salt to taste, if less.
- 8
You may make the Malabar porotta separately. But, being a bachelor, I just bought the frozen mix and heated it up.
