Ghost Sausage Bites 👻
Steps
- 1
Mix the flour, sugar, and yeast, then add two-thirds of the water and mix well. Add the salt and mix. Gradually add the rest of the water and knead well until the dough becomes completely smooth and uniform.
- 2
Then add the oil and knead until it is fully absorbed into the dough and the dough becomes soft and delicate.
- 3
Cover the surface of the dough and let it rest until its volume doubles. Depending on the room temperature, this may take 40 minutes to 1 hour.
- 4
Then lightly flour the work surface, turn out the dough, and roll it with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 2 mm.
- 5
Cut the dough into squares. The size of the squares depends on the size of the sausage. I used 15 cm sausages, which were about 7 cm after being cut in half, and I considered a 10×10 square.
- 6
Place the sausage upright, put the dough on it, and shape the edges.
- 7
Using a wooden skewer or a straw, make eyes and a mouth for it and arrange them on a baking tray with a little space between them. Then brush with 1 egg white.
- 8
Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until the surface of the dough turns golden.
- 9
Then place on a rack until completely cool, then decorate and serve as desired.
- 10
I hope you make it too and enjoy it.
- 11
Bon Appétit.
Tips
Also You can use puff pastry instead of the dough specified in the recipe. Simply roll it out slightly with a rolling pin to reduce its thickness before cutting it.
