I have used canned Tuna (just drain the water in the can) for an easy appetizer. If you are using some other fish, cook fish with a pinch of turmeric & salt. Remove the bones and break the flesh with hands. Garam masala can be also added to the below recipe (optional).

Ingredients

60 mins
6-serving
  • 400Tuna Fish (canned)
  • 2Onions (chopped)
  • 4Green chillies (chopped)
  • 2 TeaspoonsGarlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 TeaspoonsGinger (finely chopped)
  • Curry leaves
  • 1.5 TeaspoonsPepper Powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2Potato
  • 3 TablespoonsOil
  • 1Egg
  • 1/2 CupBread crumbs
  • Oil (for frying)

Steps

    Heat oil (3 tablespoon) in a pan.

  2. 2

    Saute onions, garlic,ginger,green chillies till their fresh smell goes. Stir it continuously.

    Add fish to it and mix everything well.

  4. 4

    When the above are just cooked, add curry leaves & salt to taste and mix everything well for few minutes.Allow it to cool.

  5. 5

    Boil the Potatoes in a separate pan.Allow it cool and mash it well.

  6. 6

    Mix the mashed potatoes to the Step 4 mix. Mix everything well for couple of minutes.

  7. 7

    Make small round shape or oval shape balls.

  8. 8

    Beat the egg in a bowl & take bread crumbs in another plate.

  9. 9

    Dip the balls in the egg and roll them in the bread crumbs.

  10. 10

    Deep fry the cutlets in oil.
