Baked Donuts

I've thinking of donuts since friday! So I bought a 6-cavity donut pan 🙈
I have made fried #donuts before, so I decided to try and create a healthy treat for me and my girlfriends!

< Baked Donuts >
They are best eaten when fresh as they tend to dry out before the fried ones. (I don't think that's a problem though).
This recipe serve 12. I made 6 vanilla and 6 chocolate. The only difference is instead of using cocoa powder, use ground vanilla bean...

Steps

  1. 1

Preheat oven at 450F and coat pan with cooking spray.
In one bowl combine all dry ingredients and in another all the wet ones. Start adding little by little the dry mixture into the wet, stirring constantly until fully combined. Don't over mix the mixture. I like to use a pipping bag, place all the filling there and it will be easier to fill the pans. (2/3 full). Bake for 8 minutes. Leave the donuts in pan for 5 minutes before letting them cool down in a rack.

  2. 2

    Chocolate glaze:
    1 cup splenda
    3 tbs cocoa powder
    3 tbs milk
    1 tbs vanilla extract
    1 cup salted peanuts

  3. 3

Sift the cocoa and splenda into a bowl. Add the milk and vanilla, you can add more milk to thin. Dip half donut in the glaze and let it cool. I sprinkle the chocolate ones with chopped salted peanuts! For the vanilla ones, white glaze and toasted shaved macademia.
