Steps
- 1
Prepare the filling by mixing all the ingredients together into a large bowl.
- 2
Prepare 4 large filo sheets with the ingredients for the dough. Of course, you can use whatever filo dough recipe that you like, always traditional, not puff pastry or filo pastry.
- 3
Brush your baking tray with oil and line it with the first 2 filo sheets with their edges falling off the sides. Brush them lightly with oil.
- 4
Using a sifter ladle add half of the filling.
- 5
Spread the 3rd filo sheet, brush with oil and then add the rest of the filling.
- 6
Carefully top with the last filo sheet, form a decorative ring at the edge of the pie folding the excess filo sheets inwards and score the pie on one side.
- 7
Then with a ladle, pour all the liquids that you have left in the bowl over the whole pie.
- 8
It will seem that they are too much but everything will be absorbed during baking!
- 9
Bake using the fan at 180οC for about 1 hour, until the pie is golden brown.
