Ingredients

6-8 tsourekia
  1. 1 cansweetened condensed milk 
  2. 2 1/2 cans(we use the can of the milk to measure) sugar 
  3. 2vanillins (powder) 
  4. 6eggs 
  5. 2 cansvegetable or corn oil 
  6. 1 tspcardamom
  7. 1 tspmahlab 
  8. 1orange (zest and juice) 
  9. 1 tspmastic
  10. 200 gfresh yeast 
  11. 1satchel baking powder 
  12. 3 kgflour 
  13. 3 canswarm water

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the first four ingredients in a pot, until the sugar melts. 

  2. 2

    Lower the heat a bit and add the vegetable oil. 

  3. 3

    Dissolve the yeast in the 3 cans of water (warm not hot) using a large bowl and then add the pot's mixture into it. 

  4. 4

    Add the rest of the ingredients and then, gradually add the flour. 

  5. 5

    Knead and let the mixture rest covered in a warm place for at least 2 hours so that it rises. 

  6. 6

    Shape the tsourekia, brush them with egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds if you like. 

  7. 7

    Bake in a preheated oven using the radiant elements at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.
