1/2 tspBaking soda
1 tspSalt
1 tspCinnamon
1/4 tspGround nutmeg
1 cupChocolate chips
1 3/4 cupQuick oats
1 cupMashed banana
1 cupSugar
3/4 cupShortening
1Egg
1/4 tspVanilla extract

Preheat oven to 400°F

Soft together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nut meg

Mash together sugar and shortening; beat until light and fluffy.

Add egg, banana, vanilla and oil. Mix well.

Add dry ingredients and mix until they are no longer dry. Fold in chocolate chips

Spoon onto greased baking sheet and bake for 10-13 minutes or until the edges are brown.
