Ingredients

10-15 mins.
3-4 servings
  1. 2medium or large corn cob (makai or sweet corn)
  2. 1small onion - finely chopped
  3. 1green chili - finely chopped (optional)
  4. 1 smallCapsicum -
  5. 1 tablespoonchopped coriander leaves or parsley leafs
  6. 1-2 teaspoonlemon juice
  7. 1/4 teaspoonred chili powder or as required
  8. 1 teaspoonchaat masala powder or as required
  9. black salt or rock salt as required
  10. sev/fried gram flour fine vermicelli for garnishing(optional)

Steps

10-15 mins.
  1. 1

    Boil or pressure cook the corn cob till the kernels are cooked well. when the corn cob becomes warm or cools down, then remove the corn kernels with a knife.

  2. 2

    Mix the corn kernels with onions, capsicum & green chillies in a bowl. check the taste and add more salt or chaat masala or lemon juice if required.

  3. 3

    Serve the corn chaat immediately, in individual serving bowls or plates topped with sev and a garnish of coriander/parsley.
