Soak Chana daal for 2-3 hrs and grind it with garlic, ginger, coriander, green chilli and turmeric. Add little water to make smooth mixture.

Soak tamrind in 2 tablespoon of water and squeez it. And use that pulp only.

Now mix tamrind pulp with chana dal batter. Add salt and mix it. Add baking soda if you want

Place alu leaf upside down and spread this mixture on it. Place another leaf on top and repeat it for next leaf too

Now roll leaf bunch and steam it for 15-20 minutes.

Cut in into small pieces and shallow fry it with some sesame seeds.

Serve it.
