2 tspsalt

24 ozsour cream

preheat oven to 325°

place 3 tablespoon in casserole dish and place in oven while preheating to melt butter

saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender

place hashbrowns in a large mixing bowl and add onion mixture and salt, mixing well.

add sour cream and cheese to potato mixture and mix well again.
