Boil the sprouts for 4-5 minutes, drain the water and keep aside.Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf and onion and saute till the onion turns pink in color.

Add tomatoes and saute, add 1 cup water and boil till the tomatoes are cooked well. Cool it and make a fine puree with a blender.

Strain with a strainer and add black pepper powder, rock salt, salt to taste, sugar, sprouts and cook on a low flame for 7-8 minutes till the consistency of soup is acquired. Serve hot.
