Liverpool

Scouse is a traditional dish from the city of Liverpool, aside from The Beatles, and football, it's what the city is famous for, so much so that people from Liverpool are known colloquially as Scousers!
It originated from the sailors who used the port, and over the centuries has been adopted by by the locals and made their own. Traditionally a working class dish, their is no definitive recipe it tended to be made with leftovers or whatever was in the house. Most households have their own particular way of making scouse, this is the way I like it!

Thanks for sharing this Scouse recipe! I'm collecting "less familiar" British recipes in this Cookpad Cookbook. Please help me populate it with more dishes if you can think of any 😊 https://cookpad.wasmer.app/uk/preview_cookbooks/284?metadata=cookbook_share_link
