Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupwater
  2. 1 lblive mussels
  3. 1/2 lbred pepper spaghetti
  4. 1 ozparmesan cheese
  5. 1/2 cupdry, spanish, red wine
  6. 1 tspsalt
  7. 1 tsppepper
  8. 1 tspred pepper flake
  9. 2 tbspevoo
  10. 1 tbspfinely chopped garlic
  11. 1 tbsplemon juice
  12. 2 cupof homemade marinara sauce
  13. 10castelvetrano olives, chopped

Steps

20 mins
  1. 1

    Cook pasta, Al Dente.

  2. 2

    add wine, evoo and brown sugar to marinara sauce and reduce for 30 minutes on low heat.

  3. 3

    heat skillet to medium/high add water, mussels, red pepper, salt, pepper, basil and garlic to skillet.

  4. 4

    put pasta on a plate, top with marinara sauce and chopped olives.

  5. 5

    place mussels on top of pasta and drizzle the fresh lemon juice and parmesan cheese for the final touch.

  6. 6

    EAT.

Looks good so far just making it now and noticed the brown sugar and basil was left off the ingredients list :)
