Smothered Pork Chops In Red Gravy

A very basic recipe that packs a lot of flavor and makes pork chops come out fork tender and falling off the bone! Loved it! :hungry

Ingredients

  1. 1 packagesbone in pork chops (can use boneless also)-(about 4 or 5 chops)
  2. 3 cantomato sauce (15 oz)
  3. 1 cantomato paste (6 oz)
  4. 2bell peppers
  5. 1onion
  6. 2 tspseasoned salt
  7. 1/4 tspsalt & pepper
  8. 1/4 tspgranulated garlic
  9. 4 tbspolive oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Rub both sides of pork chops with salt, pepper and seasoned salt.

    Brown both sides of chops in a skillet with oil.

  3. 3

    Once chops are browned on both sides, remove from pan.

  4. 4

    To skillet, add tomato sauce, tomato paste and granulated garlic.

  5. 5

    Cut up bell peppers and onion into strips and add to tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste.

    Place pork chops back into the skillet with the tomato sauce and simmer on low until chops are tender about 1 1/2-2 hours. Serve over rice or pasta.
